Tea Studio | Nilgiri Mao Feng (Green tea, India)

Here is a green tea produced in the Chinese style of Maofeng teas with its leaves rolled in curly twists. Its liquor is lively and astringent, with notes of artichokes, apricot and warm honey. A vigorously tonic green tea for your everyday consumption.

Dynamic and passionate, the Camellia Sinensis team is proud to take on a new role in the industry (producer), with the Tea Studio.

The Tea Studio is a factory in the Nilgiris in India, created in collaboration with a group of Indian partners.

We joined forces with our respective expertise to propel this innovative project managed entirely by a local team of women.

An inspiring project instilled with the same values as our tea houses.

Darjeeling 1st Flush Jungpana (Black Tea, India)

High up on the slopes of a stunning valley in the Himalaya, the tea plants of this famous garden in Darjeeling offer this generous batch of First Flush black tea.

The tea has a rich, full-bodied flavour. The initial taste is lively and aromatic, with fruity notes of muscat, delicate flowers (jasmine) and long grass. A finish of light, resinous flavours rounds off the sip perfectly.

A morning partner worthy of a simple start to the day.

La Provençale Organic (Herbal infusion)

This quartet of typical aromatic plants of the Mediterranean offers a symphony of refreshing scents. On the palate, the attack is minty and then unveils a vegetal (chlorophyll) flavor with a fine zestiness from the lemon balm. Rosemary and lavender express, with their resinous and floral accents, a harmonious and airy finish.

This highly aromatic Provencal style mixture helps tone the nervous system. It also aids to eliminate pain, inflammation and reduces spasms. Good for digestion, it calms heavy stomachs and intestinal spasms. This infusion is recommended for all types of cramps, whether abdominal or menstrual. Cooling, this tea is good for hot conditions such as fever and inflammation.

Ingredients: Mint, rosemary, lemon balm, lavender. (Mentha spicata, Romarinus officinalis, Melissa officinalis, Lavendula officinalis)

Anxi Tie Guan Yin (Wulong tea, China)

Legendary rolled wulong from Fujian (China), Tie Guan Yin (Iron Goddess of Mercy) is one of the country’s most iconic tea.

Its sharp, sweet taste and its characteristic flowery aromas (lilacs and lilies) made it a favorite both in the East and the West.

This particularly aromatic harvest comes from Mr. Zhan Guo Hua’s gardens, in the mountainous region of Anxi. Grown in altitude, his tea bursts with intensity.

Chai Camellia Organic (Black Tea, India)

Directly inspired by our numerous tea trips to India, our house-blend Chai tea is a true classic of the style.

Not too strong and very tasty, prepare it simply with just water or according to the traditional method (with milk and sugar) for a more authentic experience. 

Ingredients: Black tea, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg.

Tea Studio | Nilgiri Yin Zhen (White tea, India)

Here is a white tea produced in the Chinese style of Yin Zhen created at the Tea Studio, an experimental tea factory in the Nilgiri mountains (India) focussed on the artisanal creation of new teas. We brought our expertise to propel this innovative project managed entirely by a local team of women. An inspiring design instilled with the same values as our tea houses.

This white tea, consisting of fine green needles with silvery highlights, offers a coppery coloured liquor, textured with pleasant herbaceous (straw, tobacco) and woody aromas. It also sports delicious flavour points of hazelnut and cocoa. Its finish, soft and floral, seducing just as much as it comforts!
