The classic taper candle was the very first candle we produced, and even after 35 years, it remains our best-selling model by far. Its slender, delicate tip gives it a unique look—a distinctive feature that gives it the elegant, slender style characteristic of ester & erik candles.

The candle is made from 100% pure, unscented paraffin from Europe's leading producer. It is manufactured in our factory in Denmark, and the wick is 100% cotton.

The base of the candle is conical, allowing it to fit most candle holders.

The candle is self-extinguishing: the flame extinguishes itself at approximately 2 to 3 cm from the base (however, it is always recommended never to leave a lit candle unattended).

For optimal burning, it is advisable to keep the wick short, place candles at least 10 cm apart, and avoid direct exposure to sunlight, drafts, or heat from a radiator.

Snuffing Guide:
We recommend using a candle snuffer to extinguish the candle. This prevents smoke and ensures complete extinguishment, preventing the wick from smoldering. The snuffer allows the flame to be completely put out while preserving the wick.

For candles with a lacquered, gold, or silver coating, it is important—after extinguishing with a snuffer—to remove the thin layer of coating around the wick to easily relight the candle.
