Chasen (Matcha Tea Whisk) | Bamboo

A traditional and essential instrument for preparing Matcha to achieve a smooth texture and crema. The chasen is carved from a single piece of bamboo and is used to whisk green tea powder into a small amount of water. With a quick back-and-forth motion, the beaten tea takes the form of a fine emulsion, similar to that of the Japanese tea ceremony: chanoyu.
