This single-origin dark chocolate is made from rare cocoa beans from Madagascar, giving it a fresh, tangy, and lively bouquet with notes of red fruit.

Seduced by the powerful and unique flavor of these beans discovered by its sourcing teams in Madagascar in 1990, Valrhona decided to declare its love by creating Manjari. This allowed Valrhona to demonstrate the high quality of Madagascan cocoa, and Manjari has become one of the brand's true classics. The name Manjari comes from both the Malagasy word for “good” and the word for “bouquet” in an Indian Hindustani dialect.

Manjari is the result of a long-standing partnership between Valrhona and the Millot plantation in northern Madagascar. Valrhona is committed to improving the living conditions of the plantation's employees and their families. The construction of a village of 45 houses and a health center provides families with more living space, and a nurse is permanently on site. Respect for the environment is a priority: water is carefully conserved and the soil is nourished with natural fertilizers.

With its rich notes of tart red fruits, every bite of Manjari takes you on a journey to Madagascar, also known as the “fragrant island,” where amazing cacao trees, delicious fruits, and wonderful spices grow.
