Recognized since ancient times for its beneficial properties on digestive health and the immune system, mountain tea is appreciated for its delicate, floral taste, subtly reminiscent of citrus and mint.

Commonly known as Tsaï tou Vounou in Greece, mountain tea is actually an infusion, since it is naturally theine-free. It is enjoyed during the cold autumn and winter seasons, but its iced version is also very popular in summer. Whether you prefer it hot or cold, add a teaspoon of honey and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. It's even tastier, and you'll benefit even more from its antibacterial and relaxing properties.

Use

For an infusion, use 1 to 2 stems per cup, to taste. Place the mountain tea stems in a pot of boiling water, then turn the heat down to minimum. Leave to infuse for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the desired intensity. Filter and enjoy plain or with honey and fresh lemon juice.

Note

Hand-picked in the heart of the Greek mountains.
