With three generations of research, development and experience in creating functional, varietal-specific glasses, Georg and Maximilian Riedel took on the challenge of improving on what was already there.
The result is "Performance", a technologically advanced and user-friendly collection of wine glasses.
Performance is the first wine glass series from Riedel to be equipped with a light OPTICAL EFFECT.
Consisting of seven machine-made, lightweight, durable and dishwasher-safe shapes, Performance glasses are made of sparkling fine crystal and feature thin stems and large, stable bases.
Riedel glasses have a lifespan of approximately 1500 dishwasher washes or the equivalent of 20 years. To avoid scratches, make sure that the glasses do not come into contact with other glasses or metal objects in the dishwasher or in the cabinet. If possible, use a glass rack. To avoid stains, use soft water with a low mineral content. To remove stains, use a little vinegar. When washing by hand, use hot water with detergent and rinse the glass gently. Avoid storing glasses in cabinets near strong smelling foods. This could alter and tint the glass or even affect the aroma of wines.
