Presto Canner Pressure Regulator

Allows pressure to be regulated to 5, 10, or 15 psi. The regulator controls and maintains the appropriate pressure in the autoclave. The appropriate pressure is achieved when the regulator begins to oscillate gently.

The regulator can be adjusted to maintain three pressure levels. When the regulator is fully assembled, it will maintain 103 kPa (15 psi). When one counterweight washer is removed, the regulator will maintain 69 kPa (10 psi). When both counterweight washers are removed, 34 kPa (5 psi) will be maintained.

The regulator can be adjusted by removing the appropriate number of washers. To remove the washers, hold the entire regulator between your index and middle fingers of one hand with your thumb on top of the knob. Press down on the knob to force the washers over the retaining ring.

To replace them, push them over the retaining ring on top of the regulator body.
